Once the shape is set, you will heat treat your blade to bring it to life — a moment that transforms it from steel into a tool. Then, you will move on to the handle, selecting from beautiful hardwoods or high-quality composites, crafting a piece that feels just right in the hand. The final stages involve finishing, sharpening, and stepping back to admire the knife you created — functional, elegant, and truly your own.
No experience is needed. Every process is hands-on, and every step is taught in a quiet, focused atmosphere where learning happens at your pace.

The Patrick Joseph Gift Experience takes place in our private forge in Thomastown, Kilkenny. Spaces are extremely limited and offered on select dates throughout the year. Everything is included: materials, equipment, and expert tuition.
