The Mcusta Katana MC-0043C is a premium gentleman’s pocket knife crafted in Seki, Japan, known for its exceptional knife-making tradition. While the name ‘Katana’ might evoke images of swords, this compact and lightweight knife is perfectly designed for everyday carry (EDC). With a total length of 19.5 cm (195mm) when open and a blade length of 8.5 cm (85mm), it strikes the perfect balance between size and practicality, weighing just 95g.
The Katana’s blade is forged from VG10 Damascus steel, renowned for its ability to take a razor-sharp edge and its durability. This high-quality steel is capable of achieving a very fine grind, making the knife an excellent cutting tool. The handle, crafted from lightweight aluminium, features ergonomic coloured recesses that ensure a comfortable and secure grip.
Opening the Katana is smooth and effortless, thanks to the dual thumb studs and Mcusta’s signature nylon washers at the pivot. The blade locks into place with a secure liner lock, while the unique design features only a steel liner on the lock side, from which the pocket clip springs.
